I’m a photographer, really.
I started these paintings in January 2020
Before that, the last time I used oil paint was at school.
I thought I’d go back to it as a sort of retirement plan.
The thought process was something like : “Take 10 years to learn to paint and you may be good enough at painting to make a partial living and not have to do quite so much photography”.
And then, Covid-19.
And suddenly, there’s no photography to be done.
My 10 year plan, rather abruptly, became a 10 week unplan.
